CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, a string of technical terms that basically translates to convenient crown-making machinery. Dr. Resuta uses CEREC to mill permanent crowns, inlays, and onlays in one dental visit.
This revolutionary technology allows us the freedom to personally design and mill custom, tooth-colored restorations. Before CEREC, impressions were taken, the information was sent to a lab, and then the crown was placed weeks later in a second dental visit. With CEREC, we simply take a 3D scan, create a digital model, choose the appropriate porcelain crown material, and mill the restoration while you wait. Dr. Resuta will place your crown, inlay, or onlay that same day.
